Garland Pawsibilities, formerly known as Garland Bark Park is an IRS approved 501(c)3 non-profit volunteer organization. Our volunteers come from all walks of life and share one common passion - we love our dog and cat pets. Our focus is to help the City of Garland Shelter adopt out more dogs and cats and promote the need for spay and neutering of your pets.
Garland Pawsibilities & the City of Garland are partnering to open a new adoption center which will be located at Shiloh Road & Kingsley in Garland. Please see our 'pawsibilities shelter' page for development and news of this new shelter!
The Garland Animal Shelter takes in approximately 10,000 dogs and cats each year. 6,000 dogs and cats are euthanized each year because the shelter runs out of room. The animals are either unclaimed by their current owner, or an adopter doesn't come along soon enough.
Our Mission
· Save the lives of dogs and cats brought to the Garland Animal Shelter by taking the adoptable animals out of the shelter and finding them a forever home
· Raise awareness for the need of a new adoption facility for the City of Garland.
· Provide pet education information – spay/neuter; general health; training.
